Live Beautifully Layout

Hi Friends:  Here's a recent layout of a snapshot I took while we were in Tuscany a few years ago. We were on a wine tasting tour and this was our first stop - a beautiful little vineyard.  We had so much fun tasting the wines and enjoying a little snack.  You can see a hint of the vines in the background of the photo.  Enjoy the details, below.  And it's snowing right now, so think of warmer weather like what's in the photo!  Have a great day!

Instructions:
Prep background paper with clear gesso.   Once dry, use stencil and embossing paste to add texture to background, then color with LSG sprays. Cut paper flowers and shapes from Mariposa paper and arrange on background, then sew around the edges of the paper with sewing machine. Tuck lace behind sections of the paper flowers.  Prep chipboard with gesso, then heat emboss / color with Versamark and embossing powder.  Add rub-on letters to the photo.  Frame photo with matching patterned papers, ink edges, then layer with cardboard over a piece of cheesecloth.  Frame with leafy vine chipboard.  Add floral vine under photo and fill-in additional flowers colored with the same LSG sprays.  Color ribbon with Distress Stain and insert under flowers.  Add some wire swirls to the vine.  Cut bird from the Mariposa paper and add to left side of vine. Add metal butterfly to right side of vine.  Finish with chipboard title and splatters using the LSG sprays.

Step Card for Tiki Hawaiian Vacation Stamp Set from JessicaLynnOriginal

Hi Friends:  This week, the JessicaLynnOriginal DT is showcasing the release of the new Tiki Hawaiian Vacation stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps.  This stamp set is available with free shipping until official launch date on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

I thought it would be fun to do a set of projects with the same Hawaiian theme - all using the same papers and colors.  The projects could be used as cards or as decorations for a themed party.  This first project is a step card, but it could also be used as a party decoration:

Here's a close-up of the cute Brentwood Owls:

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this fun stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.

Thanks for joining us for the launch of this stamp set.  Hope your day is great and that you take some time to do what makes you happy!

Instructions:
Stamp the images onto smooth white cardstock with Memento black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Use the dotting technique on the owls to give them fur-like texture.  Fussy cut all of the images and edge with black marker.  Add glossy accents and ultra-fine glitter to the fire and hair flower - use just glossy accents on the beaks.  For the card base, use the Hearts Step-up Card die with green cardstock to cut the base - fold as directed to make the step-card. Ink the card edges. Use the included die to cut the card front panel from the patterned paper, ink edges, and glue to front.  Cut smaller panels of the patterned paper to fit the step panels, ink edges, and glue to steps.  To hide the hearts, use 3 of the smaller nested circle dies to cut circles from the green cardstock, ink edges, and glue over the hearts.  Add the Brentwood owl and Tiki images to the circles on the steps.  Fold the edges of the Life's a Beach banner, then add to the card front with foam dots.  Fussy cut the surf boards from the paper pack and add them under the banner with foam dots.  To finish, cut the Peace, Love, and Sunshine sentiment into a banner shape, fold edges and add under the surf boards with foam dots.

Creative Paperclay Altered Cigar Box

Hi Friends:  Today's project is an altered cigar box that I decorated with Creative Paperclay embellishments made from some Prima IOD moulds. I plan to use this box to store my Paperclay pieces that are ready to be used on other products.  It's my project for a Design Team application for Creative Paperclay - I love, love, love this product.  (I hate to say that out loud - you know what they say about telling people about your birthday candle wishes!)  You can find more information and inspiration at the Creative Paperclay Blog and join in some fun with the Creative Paperclay Facebook page, too.

One of the best things about having a father-in-law that smokes cigars is that I get to inherit all of the lovely wood cigar boxes once he's smoked all the cigars!  Here are pictures of the finished project - I love the way it turned out.  And, of course, it's blue and silver - love the colors!

Here's the top of the box - I love the keyhole and the large flourish that were made with Creative Paperclay, then colored with Inka Gold and Prima Metallique Wax.

Sides of the box:  All of the keyholes were made with Creative Paperclay - I thought it would be fun to use some as letters in the words, since the shapes matched the letter:

Instructions:
Use Creative Paperclay with the Keyholes and Large Flourish IOD moulds to create beautiful elements to add to your project - simply work the Paperclay into a ball, flatten it, and press it into the moulds, remove the excess, then allow to dry.  Remove the pieces from the moulds, then simply file or use your fingers to remove any excess pieces of material that you didn't quite get when you filled the mould.  I made all of the keyholes and flourishes in the moulds at once so that I would have extra finished pieces for future projects - aren't they lovely?

To alter the box:
Prep the entire cigar box with black gesso.  Once dry, paint the box with Steel Blue Inka Gold.  Glue Creative Paperclay keyholes and flourish, chipboard letters, and lace to the box, then cover with black gesso. Once dry, paint the pieces with the same Steel Blue Inka Gold, then enhance with the Old Silver Metallique wax.  For the charms on the sides of the box, link them together with chain and trinket pins.  Glue all of the jewelry pieces, charms, trinket pins, word bands, and other metal embellishments in place.  Enhance the trinket pins and word bands with the Old Silver wax - this changes the color to match and lets the words shine through.  Add seed beads and micro beads on/around the Creative Paperclay pieces on the top of the box.

Here are some close-up pictures to show the details around the Creative Paperclay pieces:

Add micro beads around the letters and enhance the color with LSG Hydrangea Blue spray.  Finish by enhancing the clasp and hinges with the Old Silver wax and adding some gems to the lace.  Enjoy using the box to store the rest of your Creative Paperclay pieces.

Have a great, creative day!

Please visit our fabulous sponsor this week, Oddball Art Co, to see all of their wonderful products!

My creation for this week is a baby card using the cute image Twinkles - Kawaii Big Eye Unicorn.  I used Creative Medium on my background, with lace, metal, markers, and crazing medium on the unicorn.

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the CWWC blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great CRAFTY day!

Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Use dotting technique and crazing medium to add texture to the unicorn.  Fussy cut the image, then add Glossy Accents and ultra-fine glitter to the horn and a bit of Glossy Accents on his eye.  Layer pink patterned paper from Lullaby collection onto A2 card base and ink edges. Use stencil and pink Creative Medium texture paste to add texture and shine to the background paper - let dry.  Ink edges of the Baby sentiment tag from the paper collection, add ribbon and baker's twine and glue to card base. JLO - Happy Easter Banner Bunny with Sketch Challenge 6

Hi Friends:  Thanks for stopping by to see my final project for the release of this Happy Easter Banners Bunny stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps. Today I'm posting my card that is part of Jessica's Facebook Sketch Challenge #6,

Here's my take on the sketch:

I used multiple layers on the background with some stitched border dies & I hid the lower portion of the circle below the layers, but I think it's pretty close to the sketch, below.  See the instructions below for more details.

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this cute stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.
Thanks for joining us for the launch of this stamp set - please stop by the Facebook page and join the Sketch Challenge!  Hope your Saturday is great and that you take some time to do what makes you happy!

Instructions:
Stamp the Tulip image onto smooth white cardstock with Memento black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Color in some grass under the pail, then cut with the stitched rectangle die. Add some shimmer and dimension to the tulips with the Glitter Brush pen, some Glossy Accents, and a touch of ultra-fine glitter.  For the card base, cut the bottom panel from the Porcelain papers to fit the A7 card, then stitch edge with sewing machine. Cut 3 successive sizes of panels from the paper pack, so that you have a total of 4 nested sizes when you include the focal image. Cut a stitched circle from the papers, then stamp the Happy Easter Sentiment towards the top.  Ink all edges, then layer the patterned papers onto the card base, placing the sentiment circle under one of the layers. Add the focal image with craft foam, then finish with some ribbon and a bow.

JLO - Easter Banners Bunny Launch - Easter Birds Flip Card

Hi Friends:  Thanks for stopping by to see my next project for the pre-release of this really cute stamp set called Happy Easter Banners Bunny from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps. This set is available for pre-order with free shipping until the release date on 3/4/17.

Today's card uses another flip card die set that I really love!  Flip cards are so much fun to work with & I love that the recipient can have fun with the interaction, too!  When I saw this stamp set, I knew that it would be perfect for the flip cards that I have - the images are adorable and small enough to fit on the flip sections.

Front of Card:

I normally stamp and color my images first, but this time I cut the panels, then stamped, so that I could easily see to place the birds and chicks just where I wanted them - it's so easy with clear stamps!

Flip side of card:

I did cut the Happy Easter sentiment stamp in half so that it would fit on the inside of the flip - but it was easy to do and no harm to the stamp.  And I couldn't resist adding the cotton to the bunny tail!  (For anyone else who recognizes and loves the "classic" Basic Grey papers - yes, I still have my stash and still love to use them!)

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this cute stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.
Thanks for joining us for the launch of this stamp set!  Have a great day!

Instructions:
Use the Triple Flip-its die to cut the card base and side panels from the cardstock and patterned papers.  Cut 6 of the medium-sized pierced squares from the patterned paper and glue 3 sets back-to-back.  Cut 4 of the small pierced squares from smooth white cardstock.  Ink all edges. Stamp images onto the small white squares with Memento black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers. For dimension and interest, add Glossy Accents and ultrafine glitter to the stamped images and let them dry. Assemble card and add the bird/chick images to the card front.  Add the medium pierced square pieces to the back of the square flips, allowing the pierced edge to peek through to the front of the card.  Stamp the sentiment on the back square panels, and add the bunny image to the top panel.  Add a little bunny tail using a bit of cotton, then finish with a strip of ribbon and bow on the edge.

JLO - Easter Banners Bunny Launch - Riddle Flip Card

Hi Friends:  Here's my first project for the pre-release of this really cute stamp set called Happy Easter Banners Bunny from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps. This set is available for pre-order with free shipping until the release date on 3/4/17.  Like the release of the Corgi set, all of the Design Team members are making 3 projects with the set and posting them several times a week until the launch.

Today's card uses a flip card die set that I really love!  Flip cards are so much fun - I love to work with them!

Front of Card:

Flip Side of Card:

Here's the stamp set, so you can see all of the stamps that are included:

Visit all of my design teammates and see what they've done with this cute stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.
Thanks for joining us for the launch of this stamp set!  Happy Stamping!

Instructions:
Diecut card from pink cardstock and coordinating patterned paper using the Flip-Its die. On the patterned paper pieces, stamp the Easter Egg repeatedly with Versamark ink, then use Kaleidoscope embossing powder and a heat tool to emboss the images.  This makes the eggs slightly hidden (the sentiment riddle says the Easter Egg was hiding!)  Diecut 2 of the sentiment labels from white cardstock and use black ink to stamp the sentiment onto each label - I cut my stamp into 3 pieces so that I could use the components separately, but you could try to mask it off, if you don't like cutting your stamps.  (It really does not hurt them in any way.)  Stamp the little chicken onto the back label.  Ink all edges of the card base, labels, and coordinating pieces, then adhere them to card.  Add pink rick-rack ribbon to the sides of the card, then finish with some randomly placed adhesive gems.  Now you have a cute little Flip-It riddle to send to someone for Easter.
