Pretty Peacock Birthday Card

Hi Friends:  Today's post is a birthday card using stamps and papers from Heartfelt Creations - love their products.  This lovely peacock makes me think of warmer climates and bright sunny days - we had some lovely days last week, then snow flurries on Saturday - gotta love the weather in the Midwest!  Hope you enjoy this card - it was lots of fun to make!  Have a super day!

Instructions:
Stamp Feathery Peacock stamp onto white cardstock using Memento black ink and color using alcohol markers, add glitter pen to body and wings.  Die cut peacock with oval die.  Add Glossy Accents to tail feathers and sprinkle with Ultrafine Glitter.  Add crazing medium to body and wings to create dimension on the peacock.  Add Earth Elements to center of flowers around the peacock.  Color the lace with the turquoise alcohol markers and glue to underside of the oval.  Stamp Delightful Daisy onto white cardstock using Memento black ink, color with alcohol markers and gold 3-D stamp paint, then cut out using coordinating die.  Shape flowers using the Flower Shaping tools, layer and add gems to the centers.  Cut Peacock Paisley paper to fit A7 card base, edge with black ink, add texture with sewing machine, then glue to card base.  Use die to cut scallop oval from paper pack, edge with black ink, and adhere to card center.  Adhere peacock oval panel to center with foam dots and arrange flowers around the bottom.  Add pearl gems around oval and on tail – color tail pearls with turquoise alcohol markers.   To finish, use Luggage and Tags die to cut sentiment from the paper pack, ink edges, add brad, and adhere to card with foam dots.

Girls Want to Have Fun Card

Hi Friends:  Here's another card using images from SheepSki Designs.  I loved the shoe and wanted to use it with the party glass!  Not sure what kind of drink it is, but it was fun to color to match the papers I wanted to use!  I'm ready for some fun - how about you?   (All of us here in OH are enjoying this 70 degree weather!  I'm thinking a night out on a nice patio sounds great!)  Have a great weekend!

Instructions:
Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir Markers, Glitter Brush Pens, and Zig Brush pens (black fine lines).  Die cut the image with the stitched rectangles die and stamp the sentiment in the center.  For background, cut panels from the paper pack to fit an A7 card base and die cut the center panels with the stitched rectangles die. Machine stitch a border on the base panel and add to card.  Ink all edges and adhere panels to card base.  Add the image panel to the center with foam squares.  Add self-adhesive gem flourishes to the corners. Color a piece of Crinkle Ribbon and a small flower with the CR5 marker and tie the ribbon in a double bow.  Add some lace, the bow, and flower to the corner. Finish with a stick pen enhanced with seed beads colored with the SN markers used on the shoes and drink.

Dance to Your Own Music Card

Hi Friends:  Here in the Midwest, it's been near record-breaking weather, so I stepped outside to take pictures on this bright sunny day.  Here's a card using a cute digital stamp from SheepSki Designs - she has some lovely images.  I saw these shoes and just had to get out my Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush pens!  Hope you enjoy!

Instructions:
Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Glitter Brush Pens, Spectrum Noir Markers, and Zig Brush pens (black fine lines). Fussy cut the images.  For background, cut panels from the paper packs to fit an A2 card base and center panels.  Distress and ink all edges. Add lace behind the center panels and adhere to card base.  Glue shoes to center panel and add gems to the shoes.  Add self-adhesive gems to the lace. Collage some of the music notes from the Tim Holtz tissue wrap to a piece of the Fronds paper and stamp the sentiment on it with black ink. Cut the sentiment with the tag die, ink edges, then add the eyelet at the bottom. Add the wire and music note to the stamped "sign" tag, then add to the card with foam squares.  Finish with matching resin flowers next to the sentiment sign.

JLO Corgi Launch - It's a Love Thing Card

Hi Friends:  Here's my second project with this really cute AKC set Corgi 2017 With Pug Friend from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps,  Remember, this set is available for pre-order with free shipping until the release date on 2/25/17.  I had lots of fun stamping and making the tags for this card, but had a harder time achieving the look I had in mind for the overall card.  I tried a couple of different background papers that I thought would work, and I really didn't like them at all.  That usually doesn't happen for me, because I usually select papers first, then color my images to match. But with these cute puppies, I colored first, then selected papers - that seems a lot harder for me.  But I found these papers that had the exact color of green in my grass, with hints of the blue in the sky and I think they worked.

Please visit all of my design teammates and see what they've done next with this cute stamp set. Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.
Thanks for joining me for another look at this Corgi set!  Have a great day!

Instructions:
Stamp the Corgi and Pug image onto Ultra Smooth Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Spectrum Noir (SN) markers. Use a stippling technique for the fur.  Add Glossy Accents for some shine and dimension on the Pug and Corgi's eyes and noses.  Use the Tag punch to cut out the image.  Stamp the sentiments and paw prints onto the smooth cardstock and use the Tag punch to cut out the larger tag and use the tag template to trace and cut out the smaller tag.  Add the tags around the image/sentiments and use the Tag Maker tool to crimp them. Color the sentiments with the blue and green SN markers.  Cut the background papers to fit the A7 card and stitch edges with sewing machine.  Use the Plaid embossing folder to add texture to the background paper and accent the raised portions with Peeled Paint ink.  Glue the background paper to the card base and add a doily to the center.  Ink card edges with the Prima chalk ink edger.  Add jute to the backs of the tags and to the wood tag - glue the sentiment tags and wood tag/banner to the card.  Use craft foam for dimension and adhere the dog tag to the center of the doily.  Add rub-ons to the wooden embellishments.  Color heart buttons with SN markers and glue to the wooden tags.

Please visit our fabulous sponsor this week, Lemon Shortbread, to see all of their wonderful products!

My creation for this week is a card using the darling image called Babydoll Dress Girl.  I got as close to the color scheme as I could, and incorporated machine stitching, buttons, and a scissors charm to go with the sewing theme.

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the CWWC blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great CRAFTY day!

Instructions:
Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Use stitched oval die to cut out the image, along with a background oval panel from the patterned paper pack.  Cut background paper to fit A2 card base, machine stitch along the edges, ink edges, and attach to the card base. Wrap baker's twine around a 1/2 inch strip of coordinating paper and attach to the center of the card.  Ink edges of oval panel and use craft foam to mount it to the card center.  Color clear buttons with the Spectrum Noir markers to match the colors in the image, add baker's twine, and attach to the corners.  Make a baker's twine bow to attach the charm to the existing twine along the center of the card.  To finish, stamp sentiment with black ink and attach to the top of the card.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Friends:  Here's a Brentwood Valentine's Day hug to all of you!  This card uses the Brentwood Owl Whole Lotta Love digital stamp from JessicaLynnOriginal.com.   (Yes, the card is a bit plain and simple - it was donated to Cards from the Heart card drive for children and there were many restrictions on what could be used.)  Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

The image was printed onto plain white cardstock and colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  The background paper is We R Memory Keepers Be My Valentine paper, layered onto an A2 card base.  I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges of the papers, to add a bit of dimension.

CWWC - Flip It One of a Kind Card

Hi Friends:  There is a new challenge today over at the Crafting When We Can Challenges Blog, where the current theme is Flowers.  I am using flowers in 2 ways:  my digital image that has flowers and I added paper flowers on the bottom of the card.

Please visit our fabulous sponsor this week, Sweet Escape Digis, to see all of their wonderful products!

My creation for this week is a flip card using the lovely Ornaments Flowers on Hair digital image.

Here's a look at the inside of the flip card:

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the CWWC blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great CRAFTY day!

Process:
I printed the digital image onto smooth white cardstock and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers, using colors that matched the papers I chose.  I used the Majestics Flip-Its die to create my card base, then used a circles embossing folder and embossing paste colored with Distress Inks on the paper to enhance the texture. I added some sparkly embossing powder and heat set it to add some glimmer to the embossed areas.  I used the coordinating Majestic Framelits dies to cut the image, frame, and sentiment labels, then used brown chalk ink to edge all of the papers. After I adhered the background papers and labels, I added and colored the earring and necklace gems using the same SN markers, then used the clear SN Glitter brush pen on the flowers in her hair. I stamped my sentiment on the smallest die-cut paper and added it to the inside flip of the card.  To finish, I added some paper flowers accented with LSG sprays, some gems around the frame, and some pearl string beads around the flowers.  I love these Flip-It cards - they are so much fun!
